Today I visited a gorgeous venue located in Gloucester, Massachusetts. My husband and I drove about 45 minutes north of Boston to a secluded castle built by John Hays Hammond Jr, completed in 1929. He built the castle as a wedding present for his wife to show how much he loved her. Here, he and his wife lived with his collection of renaissance artifacts.
The Hammond Castle is now available for weddings and events, at a price of $950/hour (with a minimum rental of 3 hours). This fee includes a 30-minute rehearsal session, 2 hour set up time, and ½ hour for breakdown. With the average cost for an event location in Essex County between $3,163-5,271 (www.costofwedding.com), this is an amazing deal for such a beautiful location.
For those that aren’t located in New England or don’t want to have a destination wedding, I encourage you to still contact me and I will find you your perfect venue as your wedding planner!
Located below are some pictures that my husband and I took on site; If you would like to see more exterior and interior pictures from the Hammond Castle please visit their website here.
Tuesday we will be back in Florida; look for the next blog post then!
